Rain Threatens India vs. England Semi-Final Clash in T20 World Cup

The latest weather forecast from the Caribbean for the second semi-final of the T20 World Cup is not looking good. Rain threatens to play spoilsport in the crucial match between India and England. Guyana has experienced 12 hours of continuous rain, making the outlook for the semi-final quite grim. The weather forecast expects rain throughout the week, with thundershowers likely on the day of the match.

Passing showers could delay the start of the match on Friday morning. The rain, expected to intensify between 5-6 PM, further complicates the schedule for the match between India and England at Providence Stadium. The match is set to start at 10:30 AM local time (8:00 PM IST). International match at this venue was on June 8. Due to the stormy weather forecast, the toss scheduled for 10 AM local time (7:30 PM IST) is likely to experience a delay.

According to tournament rules, if the semi-final washes out, India will advance as the leaders of Group 1. The temperature should remain consistent throughout the day. The ICC allocated an extra 250 minutes to ensure completion of the second semi-final. This gives officials nearly eight hours to achieve a result.
